Women

S.O.WVISION

As we grow and mature in godliness we sow into women within our reach, families, church and communities.

MISSION

To meet the complex needs of today’s women and inspire sisterhood through encouragement, empowerment, development. We purpose to SOW into our church sisters of all ages and stages.

GOALS

Sisters of Worship Sisters of Warfare Sisters of the Word Sisters of Wisdom Sisters of Worth

GUIDING PRINCIPLE
  • I present my worship to God in spirit and truth.
  • I recognise spiritual warfare and know how to fight my battles successfully.
  • I engage God’s Word in a way that guides my mind and transforms my heart.
  • I’m being the very best me that God has called me to be.
  • I know who I am in God – my value is not centered on the opinions, ideas or views of others.
  • The law of sowing and reaping – there is a balance with what we take in spiritually with what we give back in service.
INTRODUCTION

We reap what we SOW. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap (Galatians 6:7). Farmers and gardeners throughout history have depended on this principle of sowing and reaping. Reaping what we sow is not only true in the natural realm, it’s true in life as well – this a principle established by God.

The fact that we reap what we sow is good news, on condition that we sow into godly habits in our worship, warfare, the word, wisdom and our worth.

In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul speaks to the Corinthians about the generous gift that they are preparing to give to the Macedonians. The Macedonians were going through a famine and he was taking up a collection for them. Paul boasts on the Corinthian church telling them that he had told others about their willing hearts and gracious ministry to those who served God and to those in need.

He shares with them that he really doesn’t need to say this because it is well known that the Corinthian church despite all its problems, had been a giving church, ministering to those in need with the love of Christ!

Paul lays a further challenge before them, he challenges them to the specific task of giving generously to the church in Jerusalem and reminds them of the principle of sowing and reaping “whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously”.

Whilst God wants us to prosper in all aspects of life, the law of prosperity is determined by the principle He established – We reap what we sow.

Despite our own daily challenges and issues, we are still expected to SOW good habits and to SOW into those in need with the love of Christ.

Irrespective of our service of yesterday or yester-years; right now, today; our sister in Christ, our family, our church, our community is in need of our service and ministry.

NOC Women’s Ministries hope and pray that every woman within our reach will experience the generosity and love of their church sister as we encourage, empower and develop each other to be sisters of: Worship, Warfare, the Word, Wisdom and Worth and to sow into our families, church and communities whilst we continue to grow and mature in godliness.
